How to Install Gingerbread Update on LG Phoenix (AT&T)

One of the most popular budget-friendly Android smartphones available on the market, the LG Optimus One already received its Gingerbread upgrade a long time ago.
However, several carrier-bounded Optimus One models have been left out from the initial deployment of the upgrade. One of these carrier-branded models is AT&T’s LG Phoenix, which is available in the United States since April 2011.
By today’s standards, the affordable smartphone has crappy features, but as an LG Optimus One clone, the Phoenix had its moment of glory when it was launched on the market last year.Today, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the LG Phoenix is getting a new Android update, which is meant to improve users’ experience. AT&T and LG have teamed up to offer customers the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for LG Phoenix.

Unfortunately, the update is not pushed OTA (over the air), so LG Phoenix owners will have to download and install the latest LG Mobile Support Tool software on their Windows PCs in order to be able to update their smartphones.

For the time being, LG Mobile Support Tool is only compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, so there’s no support for Mac users.

Keep in mind that you will need to download and install the LG United Mobile Driver to ensure that you have the latest driver for your mobile phone.

After the installation successfully completes, restart the computer and install the LG Mobile Support Tool.

Make sure the phone’s battery is at least 50% charged and save any personal data that you have stored on the phone. It’s also recommended to remove any microSD memory card inserted, and make sure the “Mass storage only” mode is not enabled.

Then connect the LG Phoenix to the PC using an USB cable and make sure you do not click on the “Turn on USB storage” option that will appear on the phone’s screen.

As soon as the phone is detected by LG’s software, click “Start Updating” within the LG Mobile Support Tool and the updating process should begin. The phone requires a reboot after the process is successfully completed.

A. Pendahuluan.

Beberapa minggu lalu, secara resmi Admin IMO memberitahukan lewat Grup ini, dan di forum diskusi resmi di website-nya. Sesuai janji dari Admin IMO mengenai  akan disediakannya dukungan modem 3G GSM maupun CDMA akhirnya terealisasikan.

B. Persiapan.

1. Download Live Suite untuk memflashing (memasukkan) program firmware ini.Silakan download di:

2. Download Firmware Stock ROM asli, perlu diketahui sebelum memilih link download dibawah ini,
Admin IMO memberi informasi:

• Jika Tablet IMO Z5 anda dibelakangnya memiliki stiker yg bertuliskan informasi IMEI berwarna dasar putih silakan download link versi bluetooth 5875Y, 
• Jika Tablet IMO Z5 anda dibelakangnya memiliki stiker yg bertuliskan informasi IMEI berwarna dasar abu-abu silver silakan download link versi bluetooth 5875
•  Ketentuan ini berlaku disebabkan karena versi bluetooth yg berbeda, yang apabila Anda salah memilih firmware ini, nantinya bisa saja fungsi Bluetooth Anda tidak berfungsi. 

Jadi pastikan dengan benar!!!!

3. Nantinya akan didapatkan 3 bagian file yg berekstensi .001 , .002 , .003.

4. Tempatkan ketiga file itu di satu folder.

6. Nantinya akan mendapatkan suatu file image seperti contoh:

C. Mari Melangkah dengan Berdo'a agar Berhasil.

Cara I:  

1. Pastikan kesiapan: File Firmware Image, Live Suite, Kabel USB, Keberanian, Ketekunan, dan Kesabaran

2. Sebelumnya Backup Semua data Anda dengan Aplikasi pihak ketiga seperti Titanium Backup atau Clock World Mod Recovery.

3. Buka LiveSuit.exe yg berasal dari hasil ektrasi File Live Suite.rar

4. Klik icon yg pertama, lalu browse dancari dimana file firmware berada dan Klik Ok.

5. Matikan Tablet IMO Z5 dan jangan dinyalakan kembali, colokan kabel USB sembari menekan dan tahan tombol power dan vol + sekitar 10-30 detik.

6. Program Live Suite mendeteksi keberadaan Z5 ketika selesai menginstall driver, jika belum juga silakan cek di device manager, adakah Device bernama Android ADB?

7. Muncul pertanyaan ingin memformat, silahkan format jika ingin benar-benar fresh seperti baru. Jika tidak pilih Upgrade (Aplikasi terinstall tdk hilang.)

8. Proses berlangsung sampai 100 %, jika program not responding segera copot kabel Z5 dan mulai kembali program.

9. Jika sudah 100 %, tunggu dulu sampai Z5 memunculkan logo IMO dan Boot Animationnya akan berubah jadi Android yg Mengelengkan kepala, bukan David Villa lg.

Cara II:
Cara ini lebih simple.

1. Jika anda mempunyai SD Card Memory Class Menengah (6-8) atau Tinngi (10) bisa memakai alternatif ini.

2. Masukkan SD Card anda ke komputer melalui Card Reader atau melalui Z5 langsung dalam modus penyimpanan USB.

3. Copy file image firmware td ke folder paling luar dr kartu memori SD Card (Root Folder).

4. Ubah nama file menjadi update.img

5. Mount atau Sisipkan kembali SD Card Anda.

6. Matikan Z5 anda.

7. Dengan Berdo'a nyalakan Z5 Amda.

8. Nantinya akan ada pertanyaan apakah ingin meng-upgrade pilih ya.

9. Proses upgrade berjalan, silakan terus berdo'a.

10.  Jika sudah 100 %, tunggu dulu sampai Z5 memunculkan logo IMO dan Boot Animationnya akan berubah jadi Android yg Mengelengkan kepala, bukan David Vila lg.

• KETENTUAN INSTAL SECARA PRIBADI :

- MOHON UNTUK MELAKUKAN BACKUP DATA TERLEBIH DAHULU. KARENA DATA ATAUPUN SOFTWARE YG SUDAH TERINSTAL AKAN TERHAPUS,,
- APABILA MELAKUKAN INSTAL SENDIRI, MAKA GARANSI RESMI TIDAK BERLAKU LAGI,,
